With Easter right around the corner, you might be interested in learning more about Easter activities taking place in the Gulf Shores region. Here are a few options to consider this Easter season.
Easter Egg Hunt and Breakfast
Bellingrath Gardens and Home will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt and Breakfast. The event will feature hundreds of colorful eggs scattered across the Great Lawn for children to collect in three separate hunts for different age groups. The event will also include prizes, candy, activities and pictures with the Easter Bunny.
The Easter Egg Hunt and Breakfast will take place on April 8th from 8:00 am until noon. The event costs $13 for adults and $7.50 for children ages 5 through 12. The event is free for Bellingrath members and to those aged 4 and younger. Reservations are required. Bellingrath Gardens and Home is located at 12401 Bellingrath Gardens Road in Theodore.
Easter Bunny Photos
The Marina Outfitters Store will be offering opportunities to get pictures with the Easter Bunny on April 8th, 9th , 14th and 15th from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm each day. There will even be live rabbits at the event to offer a little extra touch of fun to the photos. The Marina Outfitters Store is located at 23101 Canal Road in Orange Beach. Package prices vary.
Easter Egg Hunt
Marina Outfitters Store will also host an Easter Egg Hunt on April 15. Over 5,000 eggs will be hidden for participants to find, with some even being “golden” prize eggs. Separate hunts will be offered for different age groups. Other activities to be offered at the event include face painting, a bouncy house, pony rides and giant coloring sheets. Live rabbits will also be at the event and children will have the opportunity to get their picture taken with the Easter Bunny.
The Easter Egg Hunt will take place at 11:30 on the Marina Lawn located at 23101 Canal Road in Orange Beach. The event is free.
Breakfast with the Bunny and Easter Egg Hunt
The City of Gulf Shores will host its Breakfast with the Bunny and Easter Egg Hunt on April 15 from 8:00 until 10:00 am. The event will begin at the Erie Meyer Civic Center where families can enjoy an old-fashioned breakfast of bacon, eggs, sausage and pancakes before getting pictures with the Easter Bunny. After the breakfast concludes at 10:00 am, the Easter Egg Hunt featuring over 5,000 eggs will begin.
The Erie Meyer Civic Center is located at 1905 West 1st Street in Gulf Shores. Tickets, which are available at the door, are just $5. Children 3 and under are admitted for free. The first 50 children receive complimentary pictures with the Easter Bunny.
Easter Sunrise Service at Bellingrath Gardens and Home
Bellingrath Gardens and Home will host an Easter Sunrise Service on April 16th from 6:30 to 7:30 am. The special service will take place on Live Oak Plaza and is open to everyone in the community.
Bellingrath Gardens and Home is located at 12401 Bellingrath Gardens Road in Theodore. There is no charge to attend, there are a limited number of chairs available. Participants are invited to bring their own chairs. A continental breakfast will also be available to purchase at the Magnolia Café after the service.
